Ingredients
2 cups rice4 tsp ghee
Salt to taste
½ tsp sugar
6 tsp lime juice
6 tsp gingelly oil
½ tsp mustard seeds
4 tsp Bengal gram
3 dry red chillies, halved
½ tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp green chillies, chopped
For the garnish
½ cup onion, finely sliced4 tsp raisins
½ cup potato, julienned
¼ cup refined vegetable oil
A few coriander leaves
Preparation
Cook the rice. Stir in the ghee, salt, sugar and lime juice.Heat the gingelly oil and splutter mustard seeds.
Add Bengal gram, red chillies, turmeric powder and green chillies.
Add this to the rice and mix well.
Garnish with sliced onion, raisins and potato juliennes fried well in ¼ cup oil.
Sprinkle coriander leaves before serving.
